About the AAHSA Annual Meeting & Exposition
The AAHSA Annual Meeting is the largest and most prestigious aging services event. With close to 10,000 people, this event brings together the entire field of aging in one place to share ideas and best practices. The year’s conference includes more than 200 educational programs and four general sessions featuring Paula Zahn, Edward James Olmos, Michael Sandel and the Zimmers. 2010 Highlights
- The AAHSA Idea House—Where technology and design meet the future of aging
Back by popular demand, this year’s house will be bigger and bolder than ever. We’ve doubled the square footage with exciting new outdoor rooms such as an intergenerational exercise/play area, meditation garden, state of the art outdoor kitchen and great room and even an exercise pool. Learn more about the Idea House.
- Visit the Intergenerational Social Media Lab in the Exhibit Hall where students from a local university will be helping members not yet comfortable with social media get acquainted with Facebook, Twitter and other social media tools. Enjoy reverse mentoring at its finest!
- Comedy through the Ages, the year’s social event, will feature Bob Newhart, Vicki Lawrence and John Pinette. Learn more about the concert.
