Paula Zahn Who are the Decision Makers?
Tuesday, November 2 l 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Aging services is dramatically transforming, altering the roles of everyone involved and raising weighty ethical, philosophical and practical considerations. All stakeholders—from consumers and family members to direct care workers, CEOs and board members—must confront care and service decisions anew. Together, we must explore our collective vision for enhancing quality of life and individual choice. As we struggle to decide where to funnel critical resources and consider best practices, we must identify not only the decisions, but the decision makers. The question “Who Decides?” presents a challenge and an opportunity for all of us.
Paula Zahn relates to our field on a deeply personal level. Her mother lives in an AAHSA member community. So she has experienced first-hand some of these key decisions. In addition, she is an award-winning, world-renowned journalist and former CNN anchor. She has covered pivotal historic events and interviewed many of the most important newsmakers from the worlds of politics, sports, business, science and entertainment. Zahn gets to the crux of the story, but always with an eye toward understanding the personal side of her story through meaningful discussion and analysis. Listen as she interviews a panel of key decision makers for a live episode of AAHSA TV.
